- Knowledge of relevant immigration rules and regulations and their associated processes to formulate solutions for client problems
- Knowledge of current immigration and proposed/pending legislation, their implications, and understands interaction across the Global Tax and Legal function, specifically with their area of expertise
- Take the application process from initiation to conclusion whilst keeping all stakeholders up to date on the progress of the application (consular and in-country process)
- Ensures work is completed, reviewed and delivered for senior management to review in detail before required deadlines. Ensure billing is done on time and assist with WIP management. Show leadership skills on client engagements and assembles/delegates work accordingly to team. Takes on client management responsibility and can engagement service delivery in multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage sensitive/important clients while maintaining client relationship. Demonstrate negotiation and decision making skills under difficult circumstances for example an escalation with a client over advice or missed SLA etc. Acts as client relationship manager and reflects the strategic direction of the account in all communications. Ensures commercial considerations are incorporated into all stages of the engagement
- Able to develop a network of internal and external contacts within the organization to facilitate sharing/retrieving of information; encourages others to make organizational knowledge more productive
- Arrange meetings with clients to discuss additional immigration advisory/compliance work that we can assist with and work to provide tailored solutions. Manage revenue on accounts/demonstrate soft skills. Lead calls. Show good familiarity of client specific industry
- Prepare the final drafts of advice memos for clients covering multiple technical issues and/or incorporate input from other service lines that demonstrate your advanced technical skills. Be able to prepare different types of deliverables with minimal supervision. Gain broad knowledge and understanding of the wider trends that impact your service line e.g. labor law and payroll issues. Produces client facing work to a high standard. Clearly profiles as a specialist in a KSA, demonstrating superior knowledge of it
- Understanding what exactly the client needs by identifying risk areas in scenarios where clients' may not be fully aware of the impact of the scenario themselves. Be able to articulate a technical immigration points lucidly to a client. Be a problem solver, come to the senior members of the team with solutions and ideas. Demonstrate analytical/strategic/out of the box thinking and come up with bold moves
- Deliver consistently high quality work even under deadline pressure. Include appropriate caveats/risk language where needed. Ensure that scope of services is met and recognize/highlight/address any potential risk areas (for e.g. sharing of advice with third parties by the client etc.). Perform extensive own research and examination of primary/secondary sources; perform diligent fact finding and be able to reach clear conclusions (thought process)
- Guides team in applying immigration, Global Tax and Legal, and firmwide agreed standard methodologies, policies, procedures, and tools
- Analyzes and reviews data and uses team’s analysis to spot inconsistencies, discrepancies, and omissions in data
- Adapt deliverables to client needs or take client feedback on board to fix any deliverables that do not meet client expectations. Addressing client scope specific items
- Demonstrates subject matter specialty and ability to apply knowledge of policies, processes and regulations to client/business issues related to KSA
- Completion of WIP review, cash collection targets, assisting in performing WIP review etc. Attend WIP training. Assist with WIP management and recovery on codes. Efficient use of immigration technology to aid financial process
- Coach and mentor juniors. Assist juniors with quality of deliverables. Champions processes and procedures and leads by example by being thorough and timely
- Develop and build cooperation with the overseas offices and build a network of go to people. Also develop an understanding of wider Deloitte offerings. Consistently demonstrates technical expertise and thinks across service lines, demonstrating to junior staff the mechanics and importance of acting as one team and firm
- Liaise with and build relationships with government departments, embassies and third party vendors
- Expand service offerings, attending BD events, sending news alerts to clients. Seeks out opportunities to support business development initiatives. Generates business development ideas and communicates them through senior management
- Develops client relationships and seeks guidance from client account manager. Follows through on BD initiatives as directed by the practice leader. Works closely with practice leader to develop business opportunities
- Actively participate in speaking opportunities, round tables, other marketing events, publications and drafting of alerts
- Knows business and industry they operate in, industry specialization. Has a firm grasp of commercial considerations relevant to delivering work in KSA. Actively applies commercial considerations in client engagements
- 3 - 5 years of relevant immigration technical knowledge and experience in KSA
- Experience with a Big 4 firm, law firm, or large immigration department of a multinational company is required
- Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications skills required
- Bachelor's degree in Law or other business related field would be advantageous
- In-depth, first-hand experience of a wide range of industries
- Extensive consulting and compliance experience
- In-depth knowledge of immigration and business laws and regulations in KSA
- Excellent project management and presentation skills required
- Prior management/supervisory experience required
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing). Preference will be given to Bilingual candidates (Arabic/English)
