Job Purpose
Support the High-Performance Director in overseeing the Jiu Jitsu program, helping to drive the success of athletes across track and field events. This role focuses on managing the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring that training and development initiatives are aligned with sports goals. The High-Performance Manager will collaborate with various departments, including sports science, medical, and conditioning, to ensure athletes are supported in their preparation for national and international competitions. Additionally, the role will assist in managing resources and contributing to the overall strategy for Jiu Jitsu, ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of performance goals.

Athlete Performance Reporting
Support the High-Performance Director in overseeing the Jiu Jitsu program, helping to drive the success of athletes across track and field events. Additionally, the role will assist in managing resources and contributing to the overall strategy for Jiu Jitsu, ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of performance goals.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Athlete Performance Reporting
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, leveraging data insights to assist in the personalized training modifications that improve metrics such as sprint times, endurance, technique, and competitive outcomes in Jiu Jitsu.
- Enable coaches and the team to develop comprehensive pre-competition routines, including tailored warm-ups, race and event strategy, pacing, and tactical planning specific to track and field athletes.
- Support coaches and the team in preparations to conduct targeted pre-competition sessions to enhance athletes' mental and physical readiness, covering strategic planning, focus techniques, and energy management aligned with event demands.
- Facilitate detailed post-competition reviews with athletes and coaching staff, capturing lessons learned and refining training plans to address observed performance areas and optimize future outcomes.
- Ensure all training activities adhere strictly to SOPC’s safety and compliance protocols, prioritizing risk mitigation through appropriate equipment use and training methods.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of track and field regulations, ensuring all practices, training, and competitive preparations align with international standards and best practices.
- Foster an environment of open communication, encouraging athletes to report health or safety concerns promptly and adjust training programs to prioritize well-being.
- Contribute to the development and execution of departmental strategies that align with the organization's overall goals, ensuring that initiatives are effectively implemented and monitored.
- Analyze performance metrics and operational data to inform decision-making and support strategic planning efforts within the team or department.
