Job Purpose

Contribute to reviewing NDF contracts, agreements, MoUs, NDAs, employment contracts, partnerships, international agreements (" Agreements & contracts ") with the aim to protect NDF’s rights and interests in light of the applicable laws and regulations.

Functional Accountabilities
  • Optimize the use of personal time/effort and assigned work tools/resources in carrying out assigned duties, to ensure work meets agreed standards for timeliness and quality.
  • Review NDF Agreements & contracts which is shared by business owners and relevant functions within NDF, from a legal perspective taking into consideration the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct the necessary review from a legal perspective of Supervised Entities’ agreement & contracts received for review when needed – through internal function -.
  • Review procurement contracts in light of the applicable laws and regulations and the approved contracts templates by MOF.
  • Review procurement agreements & contracts which are not related to GTPL law and develop legal clauses in contracts templates for NDF if needed in light of the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Highlight the legal risk when reviewing the clauses in the agreements & contracts in light of the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure NDF’s interests when reviewing the clauses in the agreements & contracts in light of the applicable laws and regulations
  • Conclude any support required in relation to the Legal Affairs deputyship’s tasks
  • Review all agreements & contracts modification requests received from business owners in light of the applicable laws and regulations if needed.
  • Review the amendments documents " appendixes " received from procurement in light of the applicable laws and regulations and the approved change request.
Functional Accountabilities
  • Contribute to analyzing and reviewing outsourced partners’ deliverables to ensure consistency with the requested matter.
  • Provide legal advice in the context of reviewing the received agreements & contracts in light of the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with the business owner to provide clarifications in relation to the received contract or agreement for review and request any additional supporting documents if needed.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet section requirements, policies and standards.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information that they have access to or came across during their employment at NDF.
  • Fully-Adherence to all regulations and control functions within NDF.
Qualifications (Education & Certifications)

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, or relevant field.

Preferred (in Addition to Minimum): Master’s Degree in Law, or relevant field.

Experience

Minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience with proven knowledge and expertise in in Law or Legal Affairs preferably in the public sector.
