Lead Specialist - Electrical / ELV

Job Description:

Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Specialist - Elec/ELV to join our team!

In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, contemporary residences, and a monorail in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Review, Design, configure, and customize solutions provided to clients as requested and validated by internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead contractors / Designers in the design of new products/processes and improve/maintain existing ones.
• Knowledge of WI-FI heatmaps, CCTV coverage study, FA function tables, Hospitality ELV systems, Smart Parking & all required integrations.
• Review the submitted design drawings prepared by contractors.
• Verify all ELV design calculations (Security systems, BMS, CCTV, FA, ICT, KNX, GRMS, IPTV, ACC, passive, active, AV, etc.).
• Conduct a gap analysis for all technical issues, including, but not limited to, interfaces to other systems and new applications/modules, recommending enhancements, and solving complaints and inquiries.
• Highlight inconsistencies by implementing different solutions and acting while ensuring the company methodologies are well maintained.
• Conduct upgrade exercises and implementations using best practices and design documentation.
• Conduct a User Acceptance Test with the client to ensure the successful delivery of the project tasks.
• Ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to current industry and company standards and client requirements.
• Create systems testing and commissioning reports.
• Assist in pre-sales activities, including presentations, demos, proposals, and scoping.
• Carrying out Value Engineering for various technical options and preparing Value Engineering reports with recommendations.
• Preparing and reviewing Clarifications to Contractor RFIs; reviewing/approving key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities.
• Review of design reports prepared by other consultants and preparation of design review reports
• Prepare design reports, specifications, and tender documents and secure design approvals for different project phases, including coordination with clients, authorities, and sub-consultants.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a major University. Professional Engineer registration may be required.
• Minimum 10+ years of related experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of ELV-related software
• Up to date with the latest products/technologies
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality
• Good knowledge of international and local codes
• A background in site work is preferred
• Extensive experience in conducting value engineering for ELV designs
• Data center experience is a plus
• Knowledge of HCIS requirements is a plus
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience developing master plan reports, demand load calculations, equipment sizing, protection coordination, and preparing technical proposals, tender documents, and design review reports.
• Proven experience liaising with electricity authorities for approvals, load NOCs, and other design-related documentation.
