Job Summary
As Kitchen & Laundry Technician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all kitchen and laundry equipment across the property. You’ll ensure all systems function efficiently and safely, supporting hotel operations and guest satisfaction — all in line with IHG’s standards for quality, safety, and True Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and repair on all kitchen and laundry equipment including ovens, dishwashers, dryers, washers, extractors, and steamers.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from kitchen and laundry teams.
Diagnose equipment faults and conduct timely repairs or recommend replacements when necessary.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and IHG brand guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required.
Assist the engineering team with general maintenance support as needed.
Report any major faults or hazards to the Chief Engineer immediately.
Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are kept in good working condition.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Vocational diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in maintaining commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, preferably in hospitality.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work on shifts, weekends, and during emergencies.
