WSP are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Inspector - Architecture to join our team for an exciting airport project, based in Riyadh. The Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting architectural aspects of the construction project, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of airport architecture, possess excellent attention to detail, and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Your new role, what's involved?

  • Conduct thorough inspections of architectural elements and systems at various stages of the airport construction project.
  • Review architectural plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with airport design guidelines, building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
  • Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and installation processes, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address technical issues, provide recommendations, and resolve construction-related challenges.
  • Identify and document any deviations from approved plans, specifications, or codes, and promptly communicate findings to the appropriate parties.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure that previously identified issues have been properly addressed and rectified.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, observations, and recommendations, and maintain accurate records of inspections and related activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to architects, contractors, and project teams on compliance requirements, construction techniques, and best practices specific to airport architecture.
  • Stay updated on changes in airport design standards, building codes, regulations, and industry practices, and incorporate this knowledge into inspection processes.
  • Participate in meetings, coordination sessions, and project progress reviews to provide architectural expertise and contribute to project success.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to monitor construction schedules, progress, and adherence to architectural plans.
  • Ensure that all architectural work is performed in accordance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.
  • Extensive experience working as an architect or architectural inspector on airport or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and coordinate effectively within a team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, schedules, and site conditions.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance, safety, and quality in airport architectural projects.
