JOB DESCRIPTION
- Reporting to the Engineering Infrastructure Director
- Will be in charge to manage the early phase engineering activities of the non-nuclear infrastructure Integrating the LNPP project into the Limited Access Area (LAA) Layout
- Driving the infrastructure and logistic work leading to the early construction activities and site opening.
- Bring his/her nuclear experience and knowledge of early work and infrastructure construction activities to ensure that the completion of the infrastructure plan is driven in compliance with the LNPP project need
- In a second phase he/she will be in charge to lead the basic design and tender phase for all the non-nuclear infrastructure activities and ensure the appropriate integration of the owner scope with the EPC scope.
MY PROFILE
- Master’s degree-level or equivalent qualification in civil engineering
- Minimum 20 years of experience including 10+ years in Nuclear Area in Management or Project Management position
- Has previous experience in delivering non-nuclear infrastructure on a nuclear project
- Significant experience in the initial phase of nuclear project development from an Owner/Developer perspective.
- Expertise in site characterisation or preparation, and infrastructure development.
- Knowledge of construction supplies logistics and heavy components transportation, plant layout planning and temporary accommodations, implementation of physical security measures
- Understanding of permitting and consent processes.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess drive initiative, result oriented and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent English writing and communication
- Able to develop quickly strong relationships with the multinational teams from different organizations representing the Owner, EPC vendor, Construction, Commissioning, Project Management, Safety and licensing and owner among others.
- Able to understand and respect local culture.
- Leadership capability and mentoring of staff.
- Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
- Strong Safety Culture
**Security clearance**
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
