We are looking for an Industrial Service Operator with required knowledge and expertise to ensure uninterrupted supply and efficient operations for various utility systems, such as water, NH3 refrigeration system, compressed air, gases, boiler, wastewater treatment plant, air handling, firefighting system etc. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, improvement projects, and contribute to the overall success of the factory's operations. The position is in a Green Field Food Factory in Saudi.
Focus of this position is to:
- provide reliable and efficient delivery of utilities by effectively maintaining and operating the industrial service equipments. This includes conducting timely maintenance tasks & continuous monitoring of operations, and promptly addressing any deviations. Provide initiatives for continuous improvement projects to optimize the performance & operational cost of the industrial services.
- Compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including people safety, food safety, NGMP, and ammonia safety, is essential.
- Able to work in rotational shifts, weekends & public holidays.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
- Operate industrial services: Operate and monitor utility systems, including water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, gas distribution system, NH3 refrigeration system, air compressor, boiler etc. to ensure 100% availability. Check and Record all the critical parameters and take corrective actions in case of any deviations.
- Manage assets - AMM: Create maintenance plan for all the industrial services in accordance with manufacturer’s, Nestle’s & Regulatory requirements. Continuously provide initiatives to optimize the existing maintenance plan to improve cost for effective utilities generation. Executing work orders and ensuring technical completion on time.
- Manage assets - Spare parts management: Create BOM for all the assets based on manufacturer’s, Nestle’s & Regulatory requirements. Perform asset classification to align the internal & external standards.
- Efficiency & Cost: Provide sustainability & cost-saving initiative to optimize operations and minimize expenses for world class utility services at an optimal cost. Perform all the planned/assigned tasks on time to meet the M&I budget monthly target.
- Safety & Compliance: Perform risk assessment for industrial service area and equipment. Follow the safe ways of working, hygiene standards, compliance of hygiene work permit & Permit To Work system. Create/Follow the SOPs & Log sheets for industrial service equipments to meet legal, mandatory, safety, compliance, and hygiene standards at all times. Ontime logging of log sheets and Report any deviation & take corrective actions. Regularly review and update SOPs, log sheets.
- 3rd Party contractor management : Proper communication and coordination with all the contractors to plan & execute the 3rd party routine & non routine activities in safe & timely manner. Ensure that all contractor activities adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
What will make you successful…
- Academic Experience: diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a technical field, preferable FMCG industry (as industrial service operator, Supervisor or other similar position).
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Recommended to have participated in basic SHE and Food Safety training.
- Having good experience in SAP AMM (Asset Maintenance Management).
- Recommended to have had exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and maintenance execution.
- Basic exposure to supervisory experience with technical teams, mechanical and electrical (contractors, suppliers or 3rd parties).
- Basic exposure to coordination or planning of maintenance activities, considering safety, food safety and other constrains.
- Participation in multi-disciplinary teams aiming to process and activity optimization.
- Work following defined KPI's/objectives and proactively follow up on them.
