Overview

Reimagine What’s Possible 

• Leads Process Safety Engineering for IG MEET, with strong technical knowledge of Operations of Industrial Gases Production & Packaged Gases Plants, Customer Stations etc.
• Introduce global expertise and best practices in process safety to IG MEET region, through strong working relationships with other regional operating teams, Operational Excellence and Global Process Safety
• Represents IG MEET on appropriate Global Safety Committees and Communities of Practice.
• Prioritizes Process Safety work and escalates issues with regional line Management and Business Area
• Act as regions technical lead for introduction of new technologies such as H2fM, working with PDO, Operational Excellence and Central Process Safety.
  
  

What

• Regional lead on applicable process safety standards, design tools and work processes.
• Facilitate process safety hazard reviews in region, applying risk-based criteria to prioritize facility assessments and review actions.
• Conducting process hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate these risks. Track and assist with any resulting recommendations.
• Perform risk analysis and coach others on the use of risk analysis techniques.
• Providing technical advice on process safety issues to various stake holders, including management, engineering and operations teams.
• Drive Process Safety improvement through evaluation of regional Process Safety incidents and near miss trends to identify areas of improvement and prevent recurrences.
• Process Safety lead on regional incident Root Cause Analysis
• Lead process safety improvement projects, Train and guide plant operating teams on process safety improvement.
• Lead the HAZOP studies required for plants upgrades and approve related change notices ‘’eMOCs’’.
• Support new plant design and process technology optimization to meet commercial objectives during project development activities.
• Support acquisition team during technical due diligence and post-acquisition process safety integration.
• Collaborating with the plant's supervisors and managers to ensure that PSM systems are up to date.

• Builds relationships quickly and communicates effectively across the organisation, builds environment of trust.
• Be a process safety mentor for the technical and operations team. Skills & Qualifications
• A degree in Process Safety or Chemical Engineering or equivalent with several years of experience in process safety or a related field.
• Thorough understanding of process safety management system, risk management and regulatory compliance
• Ability to identify potential hazards and formulate effective mitigation strategies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safety protocols and procedures. Capable of influencing, engaging facilitating workgroups as well as in managing interfaces with engineering consultants, construction, operations etc.
• Familiar with Management of Change (MOC), Risk Management and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) risk assessments.
