Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ICT & Communications Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to play a critical role in delivering a robust and future-ready ICT infrastructure that supports the operational efficiency and digital transformation of a major airport project.

This role requires both strategic oversight and technical depth to ensure successful design, coordination, and implementation of complex communications systems across all airport zones.

What You'll Be Doing;

• Lead the design review and coordination of ICT and communication systems including data networks, telephony, fiber optics, Wi-Fi, radio systems, and structured cabling.
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and compliant with aviation, national, and international standards.
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders including IT/ORAT teams, airport operators, consultants, and systems integrators to ensure alignment of ICT infrastructure with operational needs.
• Facilitate coordination between ICT systems and other disciplines such as MEP, security, BHS, and special systems.
• Supervise and manage the ICT installation phase, ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Oversee factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT), commissioning, and handover of systems.
• Manage interfaces between ICT packages and ensure proper documentation of cross-discipline dependencies.
• Monitor and control scope changes, ensuring that ICT infrastructure remains aligned with project goals.
• Identify ICT-related risks and develop mitigation plans in coordination with project controls and risk management teams.
• Resolve technical and coordination issues impacting ICT delivery timelines or quality.
• Ensure adherence to ICAO, IATA, local authority standards, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including design submissions, method statements, and technical reports.
• Provide regular updates to project management and client representatives on ICT progress, risks, and deliverables.
• Prepare dashboards, highlight reports, and contribute to overall project reporting cycles.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA, PMP, ITIL) are an advantage.
• 10 years of experience in ICT and communications engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in infrastructure or airport-related projects.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale ICT systems across design, procurement, implementation, and commissioning phases.
• Strong technical knowledge of airport ICT systems including LAN/WAN, telephony, fiber networks, wireless systems, and radio communications.
• Understanding of integration with terminal systems, airfield systems, and command & control centers.
• Proficiency in interpreting ICT design drawings, specifications, and structured cabling diagrams.
• Strong project management, leadership, and team coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience working on greenfield or brownfield airport developments.
• Familiarity with Smart Airport technologies, IoT, and ICT system future-proofing strategies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks relevant to ICT infrastructure.
• Experience with BIM coordination for ICT systems.
• Prior involvement in ORAT-related ICT readiness and commissioning.
