Job Description

WSP is seeking a qualified and motivated HSE Inspector to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Riyadh. The role will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, project HSE plans, and client requirements.
  • Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near misses, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the implementation of the project’s HSE management system, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in accident/incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Verify that contractors adhere to method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training sessions for site personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of HSE inspections, audits, incidents, and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and consultants to promote a strong HSE culture.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements and WSP’s safety standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration in Health & Safety (mandatory).
  • Saudi National (mandatory).
  • Minimum +5 years of HSE experience, preferably in infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations, international standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, NEBOSH), and best practices.
  • Good communication and reporting skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to safety compliance.
