Who Are We

HALA is a leading fintech player in the MENAP region that aims to redefine financial services and build the future bank of SMEs. HALA aims at empowering SMEs to start, run, and grow their businesses by providing them with cutting-edge financial and technological tools.

HALA currently holds multiple entities in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt (including HALA Payments, HALA Cashier and HALA Logistics) and offers solutions that enable merchants to digitize their payments as well as manage their sales and operations.

Founded in 2017, HALA is currently duly licensed by the Saudi Arabian Central Bank as well as the Financials Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi Global Market.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develop the Division’s functional strategy in line with the Organizational strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal incorporation with other interfacing functional strategies across
• Direct the Development of the daily work plans and initiatives in line with the functional strategy
• Establish a process for setting targets and goals, and authenticate the Division’s scorecard and KPIs
• Provide strategic digital value and ensure that it’s aligned with the strategic objectives
• Supervise the development of future and existing core business technology solutions to ensure excellence
• Analyze the current technology infrastructure and align it with strategic plans
• Oversee the installation, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software
• Monitor new developments in the field of IT and advise the management about appropriate cost-effective business IT solutions which could enhance or replace existing systems
• Lead IT team and develop, empower, and coach team members to ensure their capabilities met required to achieve objectives.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Ensure smooth API integrations with external data sources (e.g., credit bureaus, government databases, banking APIs)
• Develop IT policies, IT governance frameworks, and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and software development lifecycle.
• Ensure system uptime, performance monitoring, and incident management.
• Optimize IT costs while maintaining high levels of efficiency and security.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technology solutions.
  
  

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field of studies

The education levels can be replaced by years of experience

Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred

Skills

Computer Skills: Advanced in Microsoft Office Tools

Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic

Advanced knowledge of compliance and regulations
