Job Overview:
The Head of Business Development will lead the growth and expansion of our 3PL warehousing and transportation solutions, focusing on FMCG and Quick Commerce sectors. This role is responsible for driving strategic partnerships, managing key accounts, and leading a high-performing team to deliver tailored, client-focused logistics solutions. The ideal candidate combines visionary leadership with strong commercial acumen and the ability to adapt strategies in a fast-evolving market.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Strategy
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the FMCG and Quick Commerce logistics portfolio.
- Identify and capture new market opportunities through innovative solutions and flexible approach
- Create cross-selling opportunities with existing businesses to grow overall business revenue
- Conduct market analysis and gather competitive intelligence to inform and adjust business development strategies
Account Management
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key B2B clients.
- Leverage financial insights to maximize value and profitability for clients and the company.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and support professional growth.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee smooth execution of client projects and service delivery, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively resolve challenges to exceed expectations.
Sales & Negotiation
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contractual agreements with clients to secure profitable business opportunities.
- Track, manage, and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and key performance metrics on a regular basis for one-self and the team
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and business insights to senior management.
Collaboration & Execution
- Coordinate with the operations and supply chain teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing and promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Market Intelligence & Networking:
- Stay informed on FMCG industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities to identify new growth areas
- Represent Starlinks at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand professional networks and generate new business leads.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of business development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Uphold the company's values, brand image, and reputation in all external engagements.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 8+ years’ experience in developing and managing technology-driven solutions tailored to FMCG and Quick Commerce sectors to improve speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong experience in supply chain/logistics industry.
- Proven record of managing large clients, driving revenue growth, and leading teams.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
