Head of Accounts

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Head of Accounts to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This role requires deep knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with local taxation laws such as VAT in Saudi Arabia. The Head of Accounts will supervise a team of accountants, oversee financial systems and procedures, and collaborate closely with executive management.

• Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations including VAT, Zakat, and corporate income tax.
• Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Implement internal controls and accounting best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, supporting their growth and performance.
• Oversee accounting systems and ERP solutions to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Professional certification preferred: SOCPA, CPA, CMA, ACCA.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a leadership or Head of Accounts role.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of Saudi tax regulations, especially VAT and Zakat.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
