WSP is currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team for a prominent project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position demands a strong background in facilities management, with extensive experience in overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of large-scale facilities. As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all building systems, managing service contracts, and leading a team to deliver the highest standards of service. Your expertise in managing complex facilities operations will be key in maintaining safety, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall facility performance.

WSP is currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team for a prominent project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position demands a strong background in facilities management, with extensive experience in overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of large-scale facilities. As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all building systems, managing service contracts, and leading a team to deliver the highest standards of service. Your expertise in managing complex facilities operations will be key in maintaining safety, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall facility performance.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Perform the project management activities related to the facility management including, reports to client, liaison with project control, cost control, quality control, design, HSE and document control teams.
- Oversee the inspection of facility-related Buildings and infrastructure, to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational standards.
- Highlight the facility and O&M risk ahead of time and advise the stakeholders with the proper course of action.
- Monitor the construction and installation of facility systems, ensuring quality standards are met and adherence to approved specifications and contractual obligations.
- Oversee site inspections to verify the quality and progress of facility-related works, identifying any non-conformances and reporting them to the relevant parties for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards, conducting inspections to verify that installed systems meet regulatory requirements and align with operational safety practices.
- Participate in testing and commissioning activities, observing system performance to ensure that all installed equipment meets functional and operational requirements.
- Verify contractor compliance with project-specific quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures for facility-related works, ensuring any issues are addressed promptly.
- Review operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals provided by the contractor, ensuring they accurately describe the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for installed systems.
- Oversee the submission of regular inspection and progress reports to the PM team and the employer, documenting findings and providing recommendations for corrective actions if needed.
- Support the rectification of punch list items, ensuring that contractors address deficiencies related to facility systems before handover.
- Conduct site coordination and progress meetings, representing facility supervision concerns and addressing any issues related to the operability and maintainability of the facility systems.
- Oversee the review of handover documents, verifying that as-built drawings, warranties, and maintenance schedules are complete and accurate.
- Monitor material deliveries for facility systems, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and checking for damage or non-conformance.
- Provide recommendations for improving installation practices, based on observations during inspections, to enhance the long-term functionality and maintainability of the facilities.
- Ensure all non-conformances related to facility systems are documented and reported and follow up on corrective actions to ensure closure.
- Support the development of lessons-learned reports, capturing insights from the supervision and inspection process to improve future projects.
- Preparing the facilities issue log and the proper workarounds taken.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in facilities management, O&M or related roles, with expertise in supervising and inspecting facility systems.
- Proficient in facilities management software (e.g., CMMS, CAFM), Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance codes, and operational standards.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Experience in conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
