Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Façade Manager to join our team for a landmark project located next to the Red Sea in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in façade design and construction, with a proven ability to manage complex systems and deliver innovative architectural solutions. The Façade Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and execution of façade systems, ensuring compliance with aesthetic, functional, and performance standards while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure a world class Façade system is developed and constructed at site within the project timelines and design vision for a landmark project located next to the Red Sea in Jeddah
- Manage the Contractor to develop a robust Façade system design in line with the IFC design package and in coordination of the designers input.
- Provide technical input in all aspects of Façade system design including façade-to-primary structure connections, movement tolerances and thermal connections
- Experienced in design and execution of different façade types using various elements including natural stone, aluminum, mashrabiya, glass and curtain wall systems
- Review and comment technically on the facade design package, drawings, specs, and calculations
- Ensuring seamless integration of Façade with MEP and specialty lighting
- Ensure coordination of façade elements across various other disciplines including Concrete and Structural Steel
- Monitor the supply chain of approved vendors and suppliers within and outside of the Kingdom
- Manage the design and construction of visual mockup to align with client expectations
- Review the design and construction of performance mockup to ensure system validation
- Coordinate with client, design guardians in all phases of the project from engineering to execution
- Assess constructability and maintainability of the facade systems and provide input to improve the efficiency
- Evaluate acoustic, structural, fire, and weatherproofing criteria for the Façade system
- Supporting the Executive Director with daily operations related to the Façade, as required
- Planning and programming the overall façade construction programme
- Managing sample procurement, sign off and testing regimes
- Tracking the procuring of façade materials for project to ensure uninterruptive construction activities
- Ensuring Quality and HSE requirements are met during Engineering and Construction phases
- Using BIM field to review project quality and conduct a full check list
- Ensuring all onsite testing is completed in line with specifications and sign off and snagging is completed
- Review and validation of any variations associated with the façade scope
- Ensuring that all O&M data is compiled for handover to the Clients representative
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in façade design, engineering, and construction.
- Proficiency in CAD software and design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino.
- Strong knowledge of building physics, materials science, and structural engineering principles.
- Expertise in façade systems, including natural stone, aluminum, mashrabiya, glass, and curtain wall systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with BIM tools and processes for quality assurance.
- Professional certifications or licensure (e.g., LEED, PE) are advantageous.
