Position Purpose

The Executive Creative Director position is primarily responsible for leading and contributing to the creative team's development upholding creative practice standards, and ensuring quality control (QC) authority for all projects across TAIT’s diverse business realms: Live, Location Based Experience, Brand Experience, and Placemaking. This position includes supervision of the creative process or leading directly the creative process, coaching creative directors, as well as managing the development and QC processes to ensure that all projects meet TAIT’s high standards of quality and innovation.

The Executive Creative Director will contribute directly on company projects, participate in brainstorming sessions & charrettes, contribute to concepts developed by others, and act as creative lead on projects and portfolios. This role may include non-project-specific assignments, such as speech and editorial writing and preparation, marketing materials or campaigns, RFQ/RFP positioning statements, white papers and other writing as deemed necessary by the company. Participation will be required in presentations, meetings, production meetings, field trips, research and other projects as necessary.

In the MENA region, this role requires a nuanced understanding of cultural dynamics and the ability to integrate local creative practices into TAIT's global standards. The ECD will also focus on building strong regional creative networks and nurturing local talent, positioning TAIT as a leader in culturally resonant, innovative experiences. The Executive Creative Director will act as a representative of the Company to clients, professional organizations, and the media.

Responsibilities

  • Possess the expertise and creativity necessary to lead, collaborate, coach and oversee the development of innovative creative concepts, strategies and deliveries.
  • Lead with confidence, working in tandem with other executive leaders and the broader creative direction team in elevating the guest experience.
  • Play a crucial role in client presentations, articulating the vision and rationale behind design choices.
  • Lead selected large-scale projects independently.
  • Coach, monitor and guide Creative Directors who may be leading smaller aspects of the same project or independent projects of diverse scale.
  • Work with project Creative Directors, guide in evaluating the project goals and synthesizes into project objectives and targets.
  • Serve as the key team strategic leader and expert, supporting project success, quality and company standards.
  • Collaborate at establishing overall Creative Project Strategy in collaboration with the Project Creative Director.
  • Act as a thought leader in client strategy, identifying long-term opportunities and developing deep client relationships with the Principals and Business Development teams.
  • Navigate contract deliverables and come up with strategic processes for execution, redirect deliverable efforts as needed, and mentoring team members and ensuring high standards of quality and impact.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to monitor performance and areas of improvement of team members, as well as establishing needs in coaching, training and innovation focus.
  • Educate and mentor other team members in understanding process, strategy, and growth.
  • Support in troubleshooting project challenges.
  • Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company.

Position Requirements

  • 15+ years of demonstrable experience in creative ideation & leadership in the industry, including significant experience with high-level stakeholders on major projects within Live (concerts, festivals, broadcast events, ceremonies and awards shows), Location Based Experience (theme parks, immersive attractions, museums), Brand Experience (consumer activations, trade shows, corporate events and conferences), or Placemaking (arenas, sports venues, performing arts venues, cruise ships) markets.
  • 10+ years of significant demonstrable major client facing and handling experiences.
  • General Secondary Examinations Certificate required; Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field, highly preferred
  • Ability to lead and secure major client accounts by delivering concepts at the highest standard and managing successfully all relevant relationships to assist in completing projects, with a high-level of client satisfaction, and on time and on-budget.
  • Ability to solve complex project challenges and support the team in finding organic solutions.
  • Ability to develop the Placemaking Vertical creative approaches with Project Development
  • Ability to improve performance of Creative Directors within the existing team
  • Significant experience exhibiting creative leadership in service to, and managing the portfolios for, major entertainment industry clients (including project development similar to Placemaking Vertical - (arenas, sports venues, performing arts venues, cruise ships)
  • Familiarity with software tools such as MS Office, Google Suite, Asana, SketchUp, Slack, WhatsApp, ERP systems
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to provide strong coaching, mentorship, and advocacy to/for all levels and all members of a creative team, experience a plus
