EPMO Director

Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for executing Specialized’s enterprise project management framework by overseeing the planning, governance, and monitoring of strategic programs and transformation initiatives.

He ensures project alignment with corporate priorities, manages performance reporting, and drives the adoption of best practices across all enterprise initiatives. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures

Core Responsibilities

• Plans and drives the execution of enterprise-wide, strategic, and transformational initiatives to achieve Specialized’s long-term business goals.
• Establishes a unified governance framework for projects and programs, ensuring prioritization and alignment with corporate objectives and resource availability.
• Develops and standardizes project and program management methodologies to support delivery of planned outcomes and strategic value.
• Monitors adherence to project governance policies and coordinates enterprise resource allocation to optimize execution efficiency.
• Manages a corporate-level master plan for all strategic projects, tracking progress and ensuring milestone completion.
• Partners with initiative sponsors and executive stakeholders to resolve project execution challenges and realign timelines when needed.
• Assesses project bottlenecks and recommends corrective or preventive actions to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Manages the approval process for change requests impacting scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
• Implements digital systems for project tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring to enable real-time visibility on execution.
• Supervises the financial monitoring of projects, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and timely reporting of variances.
• Consolidates and delivers executive-level project reports, highlighting status, KPIs, risks, and financial performance for informed decision [1] making.
• Leads organizational change management efforts to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and operating models.
• Engages stakeholders across sectors to embed change practices that minimize disruption and enhance enterprise readiness.
• Establishes an EPMO Center of Excellence to promote project management best practices, knowledge sharing, and capability building.
• Facilitates continuous improvement in project delivery processes through feedback loops, lessons learned, and performance analysis.
• Ensures enterprise-wide compliance with project standards, methodologies, and reporting protocols to sustain consistent execution quality.
