Environment & Sustainability Manager

Hill International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the Environment & Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental and sustainability strategies, policies, and initiatives for our projects in the Riyadh Province.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental and sustainability policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and international standards
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and identify potential risks and hazards on project sites
• Develop and implement environmental management plans to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations
• Monitor and report on environmental performance of projects, including waste management, energy consumption, and carbon emissions
• Provide guidance and training to project teams on environmental and sustainability practices
• Liaise with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and promote sustainability initiatives
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with environmental standards
• Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices in environmental and sustainability management
• Prepare and submit reports to clients and senior management on environmental and sustainability performance
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement sustainable solutions and initiatives
• Manage and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements
• Oversee the implementation of environmental and sustainability requirements in the procurement process
• Participate in project meetings and provide advice on environmental and sustainability matters.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental and sustainability management, preferably in the construction industry
• Knowledge of local environmental regulations and international sustainability standards
• Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing environmental management plans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
