Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an Electrical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical installations in various construction projects.
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, installations, and equipment to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and relevant building codes
- Coordinate daily with other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors
- Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals, taking necessary actions as required
- Read and interpret package contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications, including any associated updates
- Monitor and document contractor manpower and equipment resources on a daily basis
- Perform site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
- Prepare detailed reports on observed activities, including personnel, equipment, location, and methods utilized
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures and health and safety measures on-site
- Conduct site measurements and surveying checks as needed
- Identify and report any violations of health and safety regulations or quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively
- Diploma in Engineering required; related degree in Engineering fields preferred for career progression
- Minimum 10+ years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in a similar role in the Middle East region
- Proven experience in electrical-related projects and construction supervision with a consultancy
- In-depth knowledge of basic electrical design requirements, methodologies, and installation processes
- Familiarity with Building Codes and relevant industry standards
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and quality assurance procedures
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports in English
- Experience working on various building types, particularly horizontal development, mixed-use residential and commercial, retail, and hospitality projects
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment
- Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and exercise professional judgment
- Team player with a safety-conscious mindset and high work ethic
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines
