Ecologist

Job Description

Wood is recruiting expertise in field surveys for ecology to work with our Environment team in Al Khobar office.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in ecological survey techniques (e.g., sampling design, species identification, habitat evaluation).
• Planning and undertake ecological surveys to identify and assess flora, fauna, and habitats in project areas, biodiversity assessments, habitat mapping, and ecological monitoring.
• Familiarity with national and international environmental regulations, including biodiversity and ecological protection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and engaging with stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, Environmental Science, Botany, Zoology, or a related field.
• Registration with international environmental institutions such as CIEEM / IES / IEMA (preferable)
  
  

Experience

• 4 to 6 years
• Proven experience in ecological surveys, biodiversity assessments, and habitat mapping in KSA or Middle East.
• Strong experience in carrying out ecological surveys for a variety of sectors (e.g., oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, construction) in KSA or Middle East.
