Director, Performance Assurance Team (KSA)

What we need?

Director, Performance Assurance Team (PAT) will support and provide operational and technical advice and guidance to the business leads and their teams, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives, to ensure consistent and reliable performance of the operating plants.

Strategy & Plans

• Contribute to the Regional Business strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose and aligned with overall organizational objectives.
• Regularly report to the line manager on the Business Area activities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required, to keep them informed and updated on the department’s activities.

Budget Management

• Lead the annual budgeting process for all the plants in the region and provide required guidance to ensure all aspects are considered while developing the budget.
• Work with the different stakeholders (Plant GMs, Business Heads Managers, ACWA Power finance team etc.) to ensure seamless collaboration and ensure any variances / clarifications are provided on time.
• Monitor the financial performance against the budget on a monthly / quarterly basis so that variances are identified, rectified promptly.

Plant Performance Management

• Support Business Heads and help to lead and manage the techniques and methods to collect data about the plants’ performance, to identify performance gaps and ways to improve them.
• Manage the development and implementation of the annual KPIs process for the plant, to ensure effective cascading of organizational KPIs.
• Monitor the actual performance of plants against the KPIs on a quarterly basis to ensure any variances are highlighted and action plans are put in place to manage the variances.
• Develop innovative strategies to improve the Asset Management Framework (AMF) implementation and ensure continuous improvement to achieve performance excellence.

Plant set up

• Coordinate with NOMAC BD team and conduct a handover session with the Plant and PAT teams to ensure that all the information with respect to the project, key insights, lessons learnt, documentation, assumptions, agreements etc., are shared between the teams and any issues / question are resolved

Management Reporting

• Review performance reports to provide accurate and timely information to Company Management and other shareholder representatives, to effectively manage the business.

Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures

• Ensure the implementation of department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Skills:

1. Extensive leadership experience
2. Extensive experience and know-how of techno-commercial aspects
3. Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management System Principles.
4. Good relationship building skills.
5. Experience of performance management and monitoring
6. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
7. Technical expertise in a given area.
8. Ability to take decisions and operate in ambiguity
9. Thorough understanding of the business value chain
10. Ability to manage and work with people of all cultures
11. Experience of working with Power Purchase Agreements
12. Strong O&M experience

Who will fit?

• A bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering
• 15 – 18 years’ experience in Operations and Maintenance of power plants.
