Job Title: Digital Forensics & Incident Response Expert (Resident Engineer)

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and preserve digital evidence from various devices and media in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
• Analyze digital evidence to identify relevant information, including files, emails, logs, and metadata.
• Examine malicious software, malware, and other cyber threats to determine their origin, behavior, and impact.
• Review and interpret metadata associated with digital files and artifacts to establish timelines, authorship, and authenticity.
• Create exact copies of digital media for analysis while maintaining the integrity of original evidence.
• Document findings in detailed, clear reports suitable for legal proceedings, including case summaries, methodologies, and conclusions.
• Work closely with cybersecurity, legal, and law enforcement teams to support investigations and incident response efforts.
• Demonstrate strong experience using industry-standard forensic tools and software such as EnCase, Binalyze, SPLUNK SIEM, Magnet Axiom, FTK, Autopsy, etc.
• Conduct forensic imaging and data recovery using industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Analyze malware samples to identify behavior, origin, and impact; reverse engineer malicious code and develop signatures or indicators of compromise.
• Support malware containment and remediation efforts.
• Conduct root cause analysis, including steps, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify, analyze, and mitigate digital threats and malware infections.
• Possess experience working on numerous digital forensic cases for multiple clients across various industries and domains, managing all stages from evidence identification and preservation to reporting and presentation.
• Stay updated on the latest forensic techniques, tools, and cyber threats through ongoing training and professional development, while also keeping informed about current trends and advancements in digital forensics, metadata analysis, malware analysis, and cybersecurity.
• Support the development, documentation, and implementation of digital forensics procedures and best practices.
• Support breach investigation activities.
