We are seeking a Capacity Planning Specialist to design, implement, and optimize capacity planning processes within the organization. The role involves assessing the current state (as-is), benchmarking against industry best practices, and defining the future state (target) model for effective resource planning. The primary objective is to ensure the organization has the right resources to meet project demands while maintaining operational efficiency and scalability.

Key Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in capacity planning, workforce management, or resource optimization.
  • Proven experience in benchmarking capacity planning frameworks and implementing best practices.
  • Proficiency in capacity planning tools and software for data analysis and forecasting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data trends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in industries requiring complex resource planning and allocation.
  • Familiarity with demand forecasting models and business intelligence reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks and best practices in capacity management.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technology field.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvement initiatives and introduce automation in capacity planning.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to align business needs with resource availability.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Process Development and Analysis

  • Establish and implement a robust capacity planning process to meet business objectives.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing (as-is) capacity planning practices, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Benchmark against global best practices and define actionable enhancements.
  • Design the future-state (target) capacity planning framework, including tools, methodologies, and governance models.

Capacity Assessment and Optimization

  • Evaluate current resource capacity, utilization rates, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Develop forecasting models to predict future resource demands based on business trends.
  • Recommend and implement strategies for resource allocation optimization, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

Collaboration and Alignment

  • Work closely with stakeholders and leadership to align capacity planning with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate discussions to resolve capacity constraints and propose solutions for resource gaps.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units and operational teams for capacity-related matters.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain capacity dashboards, providing real-time insights into utilization, gaps, and trends.
  • Prepare and present reports with actionable recommendations to enhance resource planning efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor capacity performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
