Brief Job Description:
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within the plants to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Monitor and maintains normal operating parameters of the plant as per the established standards and adjust parameters to optimize production Minimize hydrocarbon losses to flare.
- Record daily consumption, production, and inventories of product and raw material streams.
- Report any unsafe, unusual and abnormal conditions in the plant to Shift Supervisor for action.
- Take safe shutdown or start up under shift supervisor’s guidance and instruction. Closely coordinate with field operators in executing start-up, shutdown, and maintenance activities
- Control the plant in any upset, emergency, and handle plant emergencies safely as per the procedure.
- On behalf of Shift Supervisor, coordinate with outside parties regarding product export, import and raw material suppliers, during the emergency.
- Check laboratory results, file it & take corrective actions under shift supervisor’s guidance.
- Respond and troubleshoot process alarms, upsets and coordinate with SS, field operator to normalize it.
- Motivate and train new staff to maximize subordinate and the performance of the plant.
- Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Education:
- Diploma degree in Chemical or equivalent knowledge of chemical plant operations.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years work experience in Polypropylene (PP) is a must.
