Project Duration: 1 year.

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy & Protection Lead Consultant for a 1-year engagement to lead and implement enterprise-wide data privacy, protection, and governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in data-related functions, with a strong emphasis on data governance, privacy regulations (including PDPL), cross-border data flows, and data classification. This role will ensure that the organization adheres to relevant data protection regulations and implements industry best practices in safeguarding sensitive and personal information.

Key Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in data management, with a focus on data governance, data privacy, and protection.
• Proven ability to lead and implement data governance frameworks and privacy protection programs across complex organizational environments.
• Experience with cross-border data flow management, data classification, and data lifecycle oversight.
• Strong understanding of local and international data protection laws, particularly the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and similar regulatory frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in working with data governance tools.
• Certifications such as: CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional, )CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager, )CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor, Or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Data Privacy & Protection Strategy
• Design and implement enterprise-wide data privacy and protection frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with PDPL and related local/international regulations.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and define controls for sensitive data handling.
• Oversee Data Governance Activities
• Lead data classification, usage, and retention policy development.
• Drive the adoption of data governance best practices across departments.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure data integrity and regulatory alignment.
• Manage Risk & Compliance
• Identify, assess, and mitigate privacy-related risks.
• Define and enforce data usage standards, access controls, and accountability models.
• Develop and maintain compliance documentation and audit trails.
• Stakeholder & Training Engagement
• Provide training and awareness programs on data privacy and protection policies.
• Work closely with legal, compliance, IT, and security teams to align privacy objectives.
• Serve as the primary advisor to internal stakeholders on data privacy and protection matters.
