Data Governance Consultant - Saudi National - 2-Year Engagement

Location: Riyadh, KSA.

Years of Experience: a minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance.

Project Duration: 2 years.

Working Arrangement: on-site.

Language Requirements: Fluency in Arabic & English (written and spoken).

Nationalities: Saudi nationals.

We are seeking a Data Governance Consultant (Saudi National) for a 2-year engagement to support the development and execution of data governance initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and compliance activities, and will contribute to improving the organization's data maturity in alignment with NDMO standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Qualifications

• Saudi National (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data governance.
• Proven experience in the implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Strong understanding of data compliance requirements, including regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with conducting data maturity assessments and supporting governance programs.

• Knowledge of NDMO (National Data Management Office) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Data Governance Implementation
• Assist in the execution of data governance policies, frameworks, and standards across departments.
• Support the development and maintenance of data catalogs, data dictionaries, and related governance artifacts.
• Compliance & Policy Management
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, classification, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Contribute to the review and update of data governance policies to align with NDMO guidance.
• Maturity Assessments & Reporting
• Participate in data maturity assessments and help identify gaps in current data governance practices.
• Prepare documentation and reports related to compliance status and governance activities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with business units, IT, and compliance teams to promote data accountability.
• Provide support in organizing governance-related workshops and awareness sessions.
• Continuous Improvement
• Recommend improvements to data governance workflows and tools.
• Stay current on emerging data governance trends and regulatory changes relevant to the organization.
