Cost Controller

• Develop detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
• Prepare budget forecasts and work with project teams to set cost targets.
• Monitor project budgets and track expenditures.
• Ensure that costs are kept within approved limits and report any deviations.
• Prepare regular financial reports, including cost status, budget variances, and cash flow forecasts.
• Provide detailed analysis and explanations for any cost discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures.
• Review and approve cost allocations, expenditures, and invoices.
• Conduct regular cost audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure financial aspects of projects are managed effectively.
• Provide financial support and guidance to project teams.
• Assist in contract negotiations and manage financial aspects of contracts.
• Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and manage project contingencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is an advantage.
• Proven experience as a Cost Controller in the engineering or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial and cost control principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in cost management software and financial systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
