About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Civil Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project cost management for civil and construction projects, with hands-on site experience and a clear understanding of KSA market standards, procurement processes, and contract practices (including FIDIC).

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Planning & Budgeting

  • Prepare and validate project budgets, BOQs, and cost estimates.
  • Establish cost control procedures aligned with KSA project requirements.
  • Develop cost breakdown structures (CBS) and forecast models for all project phases.

2. Cost Monitoring & Variations

  • Monitor actual expenditures vs. approved budgets.
  • Track cost commitments, invoices, and cash flow.
  • Evaluate and verify variations, change orders, claims, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Recommend corrective actions to maintain cost targets.

3. Reporting & Financial Analysis

  • Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for senior management.
  • Issue cost dashboards, KPIs, and financial progress summaries.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of project final costs (EAC).

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Planning Engineers, Procurement, and Finance.
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings to provide cost insights.
  • Support tendering and procurement processes with cost data.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, contract requirements, and KSA project standards.
  • Maintain well-organized documentation for audits and client reviews.
  • Support claims preparation aligned with FIDIC and local contractual practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • 3–7+ years of experience in cost control within construction/civil engineering.
  • Previous experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Cost estimation & budgeting
  • Cost reporting tools (Excel, Power BI preferred)
  • ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.)
  • CCS Candy or Primavera is an advantage
  • Familiarity with KSA contract standards, procurement cycles, and FIDIC.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • High-rise buildings, infrastructure, or large-scale civil projects.
  • Experience with Saudi government or semi-government clients (e.g., PIF, Royal Commission, NEOM, RCRC).
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
