One of JobIn Clients is Seeking a highly skilled and analytical Cost Control Engineer to join our project management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring project budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. This role plays a vital part in helping the company achieve cost objectives while maintaining quality and schedule targets. 


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems, procedures, and reporting tools for projects.

• Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts to ensure financial compliance.

• Prepare and analyze cost variance and trend reports, highlighting potential risks and recommending corrective actions.

• Support project managers in budget preparation, cost estimation, and financial planning.

• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to validate cost data and progress reports. 

 • Review and verify contractor and supplier invoices, progress claims, and change orders. 

 • Maintain detailed cost databases, baselines, and project control documents. 

 • Provide monthly cost performance reports to management, including earned value analysis (EVA). 

 • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of cost management processes and tools.

Skills
  • Strong knowledge of project cost control principles, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in cost control, preferably within construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in cost management software such as Primavera P6, Oracle ERP, SAP, or equivalent.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and project performance measurement techniques.
  • Understanding of contract management, procurement, and change control processes.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
