Your mission

As Contract and Planning Engineer in our Thermal Generation department, you will play a key role in ensuring effective project planning, scheduling, contract administration, and cost control for large Combined Cycle and Thermal Power Plant projects. You will be an integral part of the Owner’s Engineer (OE) team, working closely with the Client and EPC Contractor to monitor project performance, resolve contractual matters, and ensure timely completion.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor project planning, scheduling, and budget control activities.
  • Proficiently use Primavera for planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Review, assess, and resolve project claims, variation orders, and contractual issues.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly progress reports submitted by the EPC Contractor.
  • Analyze reported delays, assess recovery schedules, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review milestone completions and certify progress for payment purposes.
  • Apply knowledge of FIDIC Turnkey/EPC Contracts in day-to-day contract administration.
  • Prepare and present progress and cost control reports to the OE Project Site Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and technical requirements.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (approved by Saudi Council of Engineers).
  • Minimum 13 years’ experience in project planning, contracts, and cost control of large construction projects, including at least 10 years in Thermal and Combined Cycle Gas Turbine projects.
  • Maximum age: 45 years.

Who You Are

  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in contract management, claims, change orders, and interpretation of contractual terms.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Office applications.
  • Familiar with FIDIC Turnkey/EPC contract structures.

  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment.
