Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role you will get to play a critical role in supporting the execution of airfield construction projects, ensuring that work is performed safely, on time, and in compliance with project requirements. What You’ll Be Doing
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of construction tasks.
- Support in organizing resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet project milestones.
- Site Supervision and Execution:
- Supervise site activities to ensure construction is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily progress, track work completed, and prepare progress reports.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and codes.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Assist in the implementation of quality assurance procedures and ensure all construction work adheres to project requirements.
- Support quality checks of construction materials and workmanship.
- Report and assist in resolving non-conformance or quality issues on-site.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, site instructions, and daily construction logs.
- Prepare technical reports and assist with documentation for inspections and approvals.
- Support in preparing as-built drawings and handover documents.
- Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance:
- Promote and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Participate in site safety audits, toolbox talks, and HSE meetings.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or incidents promptly.
- Technical Support:
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Provide technical input on construction methods and assist with resolving on-site engineering issues.
- Coordinate with surveyors and laboratory personnel for material testing and field measurements.
- Stakeholder Interaction:
- Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Communicate project updates and issues clearly to senior engineers and project managers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil construction, preferably with exposure to runway, taxiway, or other airfield-related projects.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and civil engineering best practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and surveying.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera or MS Project).
- Basic knowledge of QA/QC procedures and site safety protocols.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Experience with government or defense-related infrastructure projects (e.g., military or civil aviation facilities).
- Knowledge of ICAO or FAA standards applicable to airfield construction.
- Familiarity with pavement design, grading, drainage, and material specifications for airfield infrastructure.
- Exposure to environmental compliance and sustainability standards in infrastructure projects.
