Job Description

Parsons is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Construction Director to join our team. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of Mega projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Construction Director must possess Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, with extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, particularly public venue or Stadium construction.

  • Experience in Stadium or large-scale public venues is highly preferred due to the specialized nature and complexity of such projects.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
  • Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the team to providing quality and timely technical resolutions and management of services that enable achievement of program goals and objectives.
  • Establishes assignments for the construction team for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
  • Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
  • Responsible for preparing, implementing and maintaining Construction Management Plan and contributing to the preparation of supporting management plans, including Risk Management, Quality Management, Commissioning Management, Stakeholder Management, etc.
  • Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, contractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations.
  • Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
  • Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
  • Drives the safety culture developing a strong safety ethic within the program


Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)
  • 25+ years of experience in construction management, with stadium or large public venue construction successful management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary diverse team.
  • Ability to manage projects from throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of engineering and design principles
