Senior Engineer Linux administration

Responsibilities:

• Strong experience working with Linux-based operating systems and ensuring optimal performance and availability (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Good Knowledge with networking protocols, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, FTP, SSH, etc
• Strong experience with security principles and tools.
• Perform system installations, upgrades, and patch management on various Linux distributions
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to hardware, software, networking, and security
• Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization and take proactive measures to address issues
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages
• Implement and maintain server security best practices (firewall, encryption, user access control)
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to support application deployments and infrastructure improvements
• Participate in on-call rotation for system outages and troubleshooting
• Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Linux technologies and server management
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
• Experienced with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experienced on VMware , ILO and physical servers
• Experience in migrating servers and upgrading servers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• +5 years of experience in Linux system administration
• Redhat Linux certification mandatory RHCSA and RHCE
