Compliance Director

Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for developing and enforcing Specialized’s compliance frameworks across data governance, open data, and identity management to ensure alignment with national regulations and Group policies.

He directs the implementation of classification models, regulatory controls, and internal awareness to maintain secure, transparent, and compliant data practices across all business units. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Specialized’s enterprise data architecture in alignment with strategic goals, business intelligence needs, and Group [1] level data governance standards.
• Aligns with Group Technology Unit to implement NDMO and PDPL requirements and sets measurable targets and KPIs in agreement with

• Designs and enforces an Identity and Access Management (IAM) framework to control access privileges and protect critical information assets.
• Establishes policies and processes governing data usage, storage, and sharing across Specialized to ensure regulatory compliance and internal consistency.
• Maintains a centralized, user-friendly repository for data management guidelines and ensures ongoing updates to reflect policy changes.
• Implements a data classification model that defines sensitivity levels and ensures proper handling of each data category.
• Governs the lifecycle of corporate data by defining retention periods, secure storage practices, and proper disposal procedures.
• Identifies and prioritizes datasets suitable for public release in alignment with national open data frameworks.
• Prepares datasets for publication, ensuring completeness, metadata quality, and proper documentation.
• Monitors and maintains published datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with national data governance requirements.
• Ensures that all open data initiatives comply with data classification and privacy regulations set by national authorities.
• Monitors Specialized’s open data activities and escalates any compliance risks to the GRC General Manager for corrective action.
• Supervises internal awareness campaigns focused on open data concepts, employee responsibilities, and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinates with the Data Governance Council to ensure consistent messaging and support for enterprise-wide compliance initiatives

Business Administration in Law or related filed

Years Of Experience

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
