Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis l to join our culinary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Commis l, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

• Master basic cooking methods, including ingredient cutting techniques and daily mis-en-place preparation for assigned stations
• Prepare food items according to standard recipe cards, maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
• Adhere to and implement food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) in all kitchen activities
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
• Report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment in need of repair to the immediate supervisor
• Manage daily stock of raw materials and ingredients for the assigned kitchen area
• Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist in the preparation and execution of menu items as directed by senior kitchen staff
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service
• Continuously learn and improve culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or equivalent culinary education
• Strong knowledge of basic cooking methods and kitchen operations
• Proficiency in ingredient cutting techniques and mis-en-place preparation
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques and recipes
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic English language skills; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Legal eligibility to work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
