Commercial Manager

About the Role:
As a Commercial Manager, you will be leading the preparation and management of technical and commercial proposals for a wide range of energy projects, including conventional and renewable energy (Solar PV, Power Generation, Industrial Energy Solutions, O&M). You will coordinate cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals and cultivate strong, lasting relationships with clients and key stakeholders across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and driving the company's commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation, development, and execution of commercial opportunities to increase company income through new and existing clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in O&M and EPC projects across the energy and utilities sector (diesel, solar PV, T&D, substations, UGC).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders in Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
- Lead the preparation and submission of competitive proposals and tenders.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to deliver client-centric solutions.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Oversee contract execution and manage risks to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales and commercial professionals.
Qualifications, Skills & Aptitudes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or Engineering (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and commercial management within the energy sector, with a strong focus on O&M and EPC projects.
- Proven track record in selling solutions related to diesel power generation, solar PV, T&D, substations, UGC, and energy infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s energy market, regulatory framework, and cultural landscape.
- Excellent English and Arabic verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Sales Planning, and Negotiation skills.
- Exceptional ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
