Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a qualified Commercial Director for our Racecourse delivery team to spearhead the commercial management of this iconic project. In this integral position, you will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the racecourse development, ensuring successful project execution while maximizing profitability and adhering to Qiddiya's ambitious vision.

Your primary focus will be to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the utmost quality standards. You will lead a team of commercial professionals and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop and implement effective commercial strategies that align with the overall project goals.

The role requires you to ensure rigorous financial management, effective contract administration, and proactive stakeholder engagement. You will also be responsible for navigating complex negotiations while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy specific to the racecourse project, aligning with project objectives and timelines
• Oversee the commercial management of contracts, including negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring
• Lead cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting efforts, ensuring adherence to financial targets
• Monitor project expenses and revenue, managing cash flow to maintain financial health
• Conduct market analysis to inform strategic decisions and yield competitive advantages
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration
• Mentor and develop commercial team members, encouraging skill enhancement and professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is desirable
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial management within the construction or development industry, with a focus on large-scale projects
• Strong background in contract management, procurement, and risk management
• Proven experience leading and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in commercial management tools and software
