Job Overview:
Join a renowned luxury banqueting and restaurant company in Saudi Arabia as the Chef de Cuisine for an exclusive French high-end bistro. This prestigious establishment aspires to be recognized on the "Top 50" list with a menu crafted by a celebrated consultant chef. With a capacity of 60 covers, the bistro operates for lunch and dinner and features a dedicated team of 32 kitchen staff. This is a hands-on role that requires a dynamic, motivated leader with a vibrant personality, strong guest interaction skills, and a passion for French cuisine. You will play a pivotal role in upholding the restaurant’s reputation for culinary excellence and contribute to the brand's potential expansion internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service during both lunch and dinner shifts.
- Implement and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in line with the company’s reputation.
- Collaborate closely with the consultant chef and corporate chef to execute the pre-designed menu and achieve culinary goals.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of 32 kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Uphold efficient kitchen practices by managing inventory, overseeing food preparation, and minimizing waste.
- Develop strong guest relations by personally engaging with diners, enhancing the “celebrity chef” experience.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards, with an understanding of the Saudi work culture.
- Actively contribute to the restaurant's vision of international brand expansion by bringing innovative ideas and maintaining operational excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine with strong tenures in previous roles.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification, with formal training in French cuisine.
- A young, motivated individual with a passion for French cuisine and an eagerness to lead in a dynamic, high-end environment.
- Must be hands-on, with strong culinary, organizational, and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of high-volume, high-end operations with a focus on consistency and quality.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a charismatic personality suited to a “celebrity chef” role.
