Job Description: ASI is actively seeking a Consultant who will help support the analysis and reporting for an important Department of Homeland Security federal agency’s customer experience strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Design/Development:Support the project team and functional experts on the design, development, and update of training materials as well as feedback and measurement tools supporting customer experience strategy. Specific activities may include:
    • Evaluating existing training and development programs.
    • Revising, modifying, and updating training materials.
    • Collaborating with internal departments to develop training materials that achieve defined learning outcomes.
    • Creating course materials and teaching aids that support content delivery and skills assessments.
    • Deploying feedback tools to assess the effectiveness of the curriculum.
    • Tracking training outcomes and ensuring alignment to business objectives.
    • Identifying individual and organizational obstacles to learning and facilitating interventions.
    • Responding to trainee questions and adjusting course content as required.
    • Facilitating the delivery of technology-based and multimedia-centered teaching.
    • Developing performance evaluation feedback channels.
  • Project Management:Support the project manager and team with the coordination of projects, contributing to project planning, preparing and maintaining documentation. Specific activities may include:
    • Develop project strategy plans based on logical framework approaches.
    • Track, forecast, and report on project progress including metrics and challenges.
    • Collect the necessary information required to start projects.
    • Collaborate with the project manager in the planning, management, and supervision of the project.
    • Deputize for the PM in their absence and/or when necessary.
    • Prepare regular reports on monitoring findings and project results and outcomes.
    • Prepare regular briefings on the project progress for the Project Manager.
    • Analyzing project data and producing insights to optimize performance.
    • Identifying problems and shortfalls and proposing solutions.
    • Providing operational support such as liaising with stakeholders, tracking timelines, etc.
    • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project documentation and reports.
  • Change Management:Support project manager and team in applying change management best practices, processes, and tools to support adoption of changes required by projects. Specific activities for the team may include:
    • Enable the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications with communications personnel on project.
    • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
    • Support training efforts by providing input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
    • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
    • Identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance.
    • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.
    • Coordinate efforts with other specialists.
    • Integrate change management activities into the project plan.
  • Reporting/Analysis:Work with team members analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights and recommendations, designing and generating reports, and identifying trends and patterns to improve strategy and key performance metrics. Specific activities for the team may include:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for reporting and analysis.
    • Create business reports that provide insight into key data points.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.
    • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through presentations and written reports.
  • Knowledge Management/SharePoint:Support client in creating and maintaining knowledge management within the client’s SharePoint site, creating positive user experiences and facilitating smooth integrations and online collaboration. Specific activities for the team may include:
    • Add users, control access to libraries, and set permissions.
    • Create pages, web parts, lists, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation permissions, and data management.
  • Survey Design, Administration, and Analysis: Work with team members conducting root cause analysis and action planning, leveraging a range of data collection methods (e.g., targeted surveys, focus groups, interviews).
  • Business Process Management and Improvement Support: Provide support for improving processes, policies, and guidance. This may include the development of job aids, procedures, concept of operations, web-based publications, and guidance and communication plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current & Active DHS TSA Public Trust.
  • BA/BS and 5-7 years of consulting experience; with at least 3 years experience as a training consultant or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of curriculum design, instructional methods, and training techniques.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills – create clear and client-ready presentations and documents, and communicate reports/analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong data gathering and critical thinking skills.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with articulate, FIGMA, and other instructional design tools.
  • Capturing clear, comprehensive meeting notes and minutes, as required.

Clearance Requirement: Active and Current DHS TSA Public Trust

Work Location & Schedule:

  • Primary Location: Remote and Springfield, VA.
  • Onsite Requirements:100% Remote with minimal on-site visits as needed.
