The CEO will lead the company's strategic business development initiatives, focusing on expanding the client base, securing new projects, and cultivating lasting client relationships within the design and construction sectors. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong engineering background, preferably in civil engineering, who can drive project execution, control costs, and deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring well-established connections to large-scale project entities, including organizations managing high-profile initiatives similar to Neom, positioning the company for sustained growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
•Business Development & Client Relations: Identify and secure high-value projects, fostering partnerships and leveraging networks to build a strong, diversified client base.
•Strategic Growth: Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan, emphasizing new market opportunities and expansion into sectors aligned with the firm’s core capabilities.
•Project Execution: Oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets, with a focus on reducing cost variances and maintaining high standards.
•Operational Leadership: Implement robust project controls, risk management practices, and performance metrics to drive efficiency and accountability across all projects.
•Financial Oversight: Manage the company’s financial resources prudently, setting budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring projects are profitable.
•Team Leadership: Lead and develop the executive team, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting continuous professional development.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; an MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
•Minimum 15 years of experience in the design and construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
•Proven track record in business development and securing high-value contracts, ideally with large-scale projects.
•Strong knowledge of project management, financial controls, and risk management.
•Established network with key stakeholders in the construction and infrastructure sectors, especially with organizations involved in mega-projects.
•Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
•Advanced understanding of project control systems and cost management.
•Familiarity with regional construction regulations and standards.
•Ability to drive operational efficiency while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
