How You’ll Make An Impact

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and support sourcing and supplier qualification activity for business/projects within framework of policies and guideline.
• Responsible for coordinating with Internal/ External partners, Internal such as Engineering, Strategic procurement, Supplier Quality, Project Management, counterparts from various locations of Siemens Energy and Suppliers/Vendors, Contractors.
• Sourcing: float inquiry to approved vendor based on provided specifications, provide clarifications to/from vendors for offers received, and coordinate with Engineering department for technical evaluation.
• Offer assessment and negotiations, SAP Order placement, coordination with Engineering & ensure the techno-commercial evaluation of the offers received to identify possible deviations, compare / negotiate technical, commercial and other issues with the vendor.
• Vendor Management: To identify and develop vendors best in line with the target cost, quality and time schedules as per business requirement.
• Support sale department in making proposal at bid stage. Should aim at getting the best price from vendor with in required timeframe to bag the order.
• Improve supplier performance based on feedback through periodical review on product, services & processes.
• Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to acquire and develop the best suppliers and ensure clarity and high procurement quality
• Development of a contract award strategy under consideration of the project goals, cost and quality, successful presentation of Total Cost Comparison in a sourcing board and implementation thereof
• Prepare and Perform contract negotiations with application of the available procurement levers to achieve best in class results.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• With bachelor’s/master’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical engineering (Preferred) or business administration with strong affinity and experience in respective material field
• Should have 3-5 years of confirmed experience of procurement in project business.
• Experience in procurement of rotating equipment would be an added advantage. Best-in-class to Saudi Nationals. Women are encouraged to apply.
• Able to independently prepare and carry out mid-complex negotiations (including negotiation strategy, max/min goal, fallback position, role allocation, target costing, etc.)
• Knowledge of contractual law
• Able to qualify and evaluate suppliers, classifications, development measures, create contract entries, implement eAuctions, etc.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, along with ability to establish relationships and influence team members on different levels
• Data analytics and cost modelling skills
• Excellent command of English
• Proficient in MS Office suite
