We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist with a focus on the solar and wind energy sectors. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients and partners, and driving growth in the solar and wind energy markets.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential business opportunities in the solar and wind energy sectors, including utility-scale projects, commercial installations, and community initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including utility companies, developers, investors, government agencies, and community organizations.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company's presence in the solar and wind energy markets, including market analysis, competitor assessment, and target identification.
- Lead the development and presentation of proposals, pitches, and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the company's capabilities, solutions, and value proposition.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and marketing, to tailor solutions that meet the needs of clients in the solar and wind energy sectors.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and partnerships with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives and financial targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting the solar and wind energy sectors, and provide strategic guidance to the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, renewable energy, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the solar and/or wind energy sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar and wind energy technologies, including project development, financing structures, and regulatory considerations.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing business opportunities, meeting or exceeding sales targets, and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on building long-term relationships and partnerships.
