Summary - Basic Function Of The Role

We are actively seeking a Business Development Manager located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, whose primary responsibility will be to enhance revenue annually by expanding our current services and introducing new business lines to both existing and new customers in the region.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies which support delivery of the primary business growth goals. Determine route market to meet these goals. Use public and Hydratight market data to formulate and build a funnel of opportunities.
  • Drive strategic business growth for Hydratight services by spearheading the development and expansion of long-term partnerships. Achieving this through the introduction of innovative services and portfolio building across their various facilities.
  • Work closely with the Commercial / Technical / Operations leaders, Global Joint Integrity CoE and Global BD to ensure competence and capacity to execute work secured exists at closure. Support delivery of Joint Integrity assurance globally and collaborate with commercial, technical, and operational leaders to ensure targeted accounts or projects are secured.
  • Maintain an understanding of the growing Hydratight portfolio and ensure it is professionally communicated to customers and prospects. Maintain an understanding of industry-wide issues, and those of our customers, and how these translate into business needs.
  • Support the development of a stronger sales and technical support capability within the region, Hydratight technologies with expertise.
  • Implement Hydratight campaign methodologies. Segment and prioritize account / product & service opportunities and identify the appropriate internal resource to support. Use the integrity management software tools and industry standards to pull through the broader Hydratight portfolio of products/services together with the bundling of complementary services.
  • Build relationships with the region based global energy companies promoting the Hydratight platform. In conjunction with sales management, identify and manage the development of multi-level contacts in existing and/or prospective accounts. Build positive internal & external relationships with individuals that support the customer.
  • Build and maintain a funnel of regional business opportunities; work with regional and global teams as appropriate to secure and grow these opportunities.
  • Identify, develop, maintain, and report on key accounts and help convert these accounts into revenue generating contracts.
  • Establish and maintain a development plan and agree, execute, and evaluate development activities necessary to achieve the results. Gain required skills and knowledge accreditation. Mentor & support other members of the Team, in particular the Sales organizations.
  • Ensure all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization. Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement
  • Always represent the Company in a professional manner, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times.

Education And Experience

  • A candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Marketing, who has a significant experience in a global marketing position in the oil and gas sector specifically with Aramco and with the ability to manage multi-location business units.
  • Technical or Engineering background would be beneficial.
  • Strong ability to develop and win new customer business at the executive level.
  • Ability to work independently yet remain a part of a team and develop the skills of the regional teams.
  • Proven leadership ability to lead and motivate remote staff and cross functional staff
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate within the organization and customers at all levels.
  • Spend 100% of your time on customer creation or related activities in the region. Travel is a major factor both nationally and internationally.
