Associate, Riyadh
DGA Group

Job Details
The DGA ASG Middle East and North Africa (MENA) practice is looking for an intellectually curious, driven self-starter to join our Riyadh team as an Associate. This is an exciting opportunity to join the region’s leading public affairs and public policy firm working at the forefront of delivering meaningful policy and regulatory outcomes and driving some of the most impactful Vision 2030 priorities.
The associate role supports the team’s client work - focused on providing expert advisory on public policy solutions, government relations, market strategy, partnership-building, and related subject matters - as well as business development and internal team operations. We are looking for a well-rounded fast learner to support senior staff by conducting subject matter research, drafting client deliverables, drafting new business proposals, and managing administrative duties, among other things.
You will be joining a dynamic, passionate team working for some of the world’s leading global companies and the region’s most influential government entities across sectors such as AI, technology, healthcare, culture, and financial services. You will gain unique exposure into the ins and outs of public policy in KSA and the region and get a crash course in what it takes to cultivate geopolitical, regional, and industry expertise.
Location
Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). Please note, this position is not eligible for relocation for any candidates not already based in the Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Client Service: Supports senior staff with drafting and editing Arabic and English client deliverables, including presentations, memos, and other products as needed. Deliverables are prepared in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. This may include:
- With guidance from senior staff, developing client deliverables such as reports, instruments, and tools including public policy proposals, local and international benchmarking assessments and training programs.
- Contributing to the research and development of larger deliverables such as regulatory or governance frameworks, operating models and incentives programs.
- Leading research to inform client-facing policy recommendations based on thorough analysis and evaluation techniques.
- Joining client calls to take notes, understand project needs in detail, develop familiarity with client work, and build expertise in geopolitical, regional, and sectoral/industry subject matter.
- Business Development: Supports the growth of the MENA practice’s business in coordination with senior staff. This may include:
- Reviewing RFPs and solicitations for project pre-qualification documents to identify new projects for which DGA ASG is well-positioned to bid.
- Attending KSA networking events and conferences alongside senior staff to start to build a network of contacts.
- With guidance from senior staff, drafting new business proposals for MENA clients (both KSA and regional).
- Supporting internal tracking of business development processes.
- Administrative Support: Supports senior staff with scheduling, team operations and other duties as needed; and engages with clients in a support role, as requested. This may include:
- Managing administrative functions and tasks of the practice, arranging senior team members’ schedules, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Preparing and editing correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
- Recording, transcribing, and distributing meeting minutes.
Qualifications
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of relevant prior work experience. Legal or government setting in KSA is a plus.
- Arabic professional fluency in speaking, reading, and writing required, and excellent English communication skills preferred.
- BA/BS in political science, international relations, economics, law, public policy or business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with a Master’s in related field a plus. Graduate of a Saudi university preferred.
