AI Technician

Mission: Groq is building the hardware and software for the next generation of high performance machine learning. Groq hardware is designed to be both high performance and highly responsive. Groq’s new simplified architecture drives incredible performance at batch size one. This entry level position will be responsible for deploying and maintaining systems and servers in our data center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly Responsible Individual for our Datacenter
• Install and maintain servers and other rack gear in our Datacenter and Lab space
• Manage the inventory of all Datacenter equipment
• Lab technician tasks:
• Unpacking and moving computers, racks and other gear from shipping to the DC floor, 50# lift
• Installation of gear in to racks
• Cabling of power and network connections
• Running tests on nodes and racks

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Minimum qualifications:

• Familiarity with computer and network systems
• Linux and Python experience
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve results
• Ability to task-swap and adjust to changing priorities
• Flexibility working across multiple systems and contexts
  
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Two or four year post-high school degree or equivalent experience desired
• Start-up experience
• Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is 108,000SAR to 144,000SAR, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.

Location: Groq is a geo-agnostic company, meaning you work where you are. Exceptional candidates will thrive in asynchronous partnerships and remote collaboration methods. Some roles may require being located near our primary sites, as indicated in the job description.
