Account Manager

Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to drive business growth in the Oil & Gas sector across the GCC region. The role involves business development, technical support throughout the sales lifecycle, and long-term relationship management. It also includes mentoring a junior sales support resource and requires regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new opportunities in the Oil & Gas sector across the GCC
• Execute business development strategies with new and existing customers
• Conduct sales calls and joint visits with clients, contractors, and end users
• Provide accurate quotations and timely follow-ups to customer inquiries
• Monitor inventories, manage complaints, assist with collections, and oversee deliveries
• Perform business reporting, forecasting, and planning, including CRM input
• Provide accurate annual, quarterly, and monthly sales forecasts and market analysis
• Develop and execute plans to ensure consistent revenue growth

Requirements

• Degree in Ceramics, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or Oil & Gas-related field
• 10+ years of experience in refractory or Oil & Gas sales within the GCC
• Strong knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry and customer applications
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and customer accounts
• Willingness to travel across the GCC (30–35% of the time)
• Experience managing junior sales support resources
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead sales initiatives across dispersed geographies
• Proven use of continuous improvement methodologies and performance metrics
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic environments
