Job Vacancy: Account Manager for a Furniture Company


Job Summary:


The Furniture Account Manager is responsible for managing key client relationships and increasing revenue through strategic sales and account management. This role focuses on building and maintaining partnerships with retailers, distributors, interior designers, and corporate clients in the furniture industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and customer service, with knowledge of furniture trends, product lines, and retail strategies.


Key Responsibilities:


Customer Relationship Management:


• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs, industry trends, and competitive offerings.

• Regularly meet with clients to discuss new products, marketing strategies, and business performance.


Sales and Revenue Growth:


• Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s market share in the furniture category.

• Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.

• Collaborate with internal teams (such as marketing, customer service, etc.) to align sales efforts with business goals.

• Track and report on key metrics such as sales, customer retention, and growth forecasts.


Product Expertise:


• Stay up-to-date on new product developments, furniture trends, and market shifts.

• Provide product education and training to clients to enhance their understanding of furniture offerings.

• Work closely with design teams to ensure customer needs are reflected in product development.


Contract Negotiation and Management:


• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with clients to maximize profitability.

• Manage contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and client agreements.

• Resolve any issues related to contract execution, product delivery, or client disputes.


Market and Competitor Analysis:


• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market requirements to identify growth opportunities.

• Provide regular feedback to product and marketing teams to adjust strategies and improve offerings based on market insights.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Proven experience (+1 year) as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, or similar role, preferably in the furniture or home furnishings industry.

• Understanding of furniture product lines and market trends.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at various levels.

• Ability to meet sales targets and effectively manage multiple accounts.

• Strong negotiation skills and problem-solving mindset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
