VP of Finance

The Role

The capital formation team is seeking a VP of Finance to join the leadership team of a high-growth technology and AI company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The business is on a defined path to IPO on the Saudi Exchange, and this hire will serve as a critical strategic partner to the CEO through that process and beyond.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Approximately 70–80% of the remit is focused on long-term financial strategy and capital markets positioning. The VP of Finance will lead a Finance Director and a lean finance team, and will own the end-to-end financial narrative as the company approaches its listing.

This role reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive IPO readiness, including financial structuring, regulatory compliance, shareholder engagement, and Saudi Exchange listing requirements.
• Lead company-wide financial strategy across planning, forecasting, capital allocation, and investor relations.
• Manage and mentor a Finance Director and the broader finance team.
• Partner with the CEO on board-level presentations, investor communications, and high-stakes strategic decisions.
• Establish and maintain robust financial controls, reporting frameworks, and governance structures appropriate for a listed entity.
• Apply deep knowledge of the technology and AI sector to shape financial models and inform growth strategy.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• 15 or more years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a strong track record in technology, AI, or technology consulting.
• Demonstrated, hands-on IPO experience is required — candidates must have taken a company through a full listing process.
• Direct experience in the Saudi Arabia market is essential; familiarity with Tadawul in listed or pre-IPO environments is a strong advantage.
• Arabic language proficiency is preferred; Saudi national or Arabic-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
• Educated to degree level at an elite institution (for example: Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, or equivalent).
• Professionally certified: ACCA, CPA, or CMA.
• Based in Riyadh or willing to relocate.
• Confident presenting at CEO and board level, with the credibility and communication skills to engage institutional investors effectively.
