Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The R&D Lab Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the R&D Seasoning laboratory. This role provides hands-on technical support to Seasoning development/functionality and supports other R&D teams by ensuring laboratories, equipment, materials, and samples are ready and managed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality, food safety, and EHS standards. The role also supports prototype preparation, lab trials, plant trials, sample shipment, documentation, and capability readiness across the Hub

Qualifications

Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a laboratory, pilot plant, quality, or R&D support role, preferably within the food, beverage, FMCG, or related industry.
• Experience supporting laboratory operations, equipment maintenance/calibration, sample preparation, and documentation.
  
  

Experience working within food safety, GMP, hygiene, and EHS requirements is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of laboratory operations, equipment handling, and technical support activities.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, GMP, and applicable EHS requirements.
• Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, including root cause analysis and follow-up of corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and discipline.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions without direct reporting relationships.
• Ability to coach, guide, and support others in following procedures and requirements.
• Good computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate technical records.
